The humility in your words, "For the great souls, when others “take” and accept their service, they actually feel like they are being given to." reminds me of the poem which is apt for your post here. In this sacrifice by serving others, we receive more than we give to others, that is, we become free from the bondage of Karma - Bhagavad Gita Ch 3.9
