Hare Krishna Mahārāja. Thank you for sharing your first lecture with us. How beautiful. An amazing message to you from Krishna ❤️delivered in your first lecture!! Confirmation that Krishna is pleased with your decision. 🙏🏽
Hare Krishna Maharaj. Dandavat Pranams. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Reflecting more on Professor Carrasco quoting on Eliade. Eliade's idea basically challenges the modern secular view that religion or the sacred is merely a historical or social construction. He’s arguing that the experience of the sacred is a universal part of being human, regardless of specific religious traditions or beliefs. His insight resonates deeply with Krishna consciousness! The jiva (individual soul) is eternally connected to Krishna, and this relationship is not something acquired through history or culture. It’s nitya-siddha — eternally present within us, even if currently forgotten (nitya-baddha due to maya).
Krishna consciousness is not created; it's uncovered. It’s the original function (svarupa) of the soul.
True knowledge (jnana) is a transformation of consciousness, not just accumulation of facts! When one engages in devotional practice, it’s not about adopting a new belief system, but about reawakening the soul’s original consciousness. Eliade, though not a Vaishnava, captures something that aligns deeply with what Srila Prabhupada has taught us through his books: the sacred is not a later addition to human consciousness — it is consciousness, in its purest form!
