From Harvard to the World
Tattva Newsletter #1 | May/June 2026
Welcome to the monthly Tattva newsletter! Every month I’ll share some highlights from my wanderings—what I’ve been doing, who I met, what lessons I learnt and how spiritual life is unfolding. Someone once told me “most people die at 25, but aren’t buried till they are 75.” It made me think deeply about the difference between living and existing. Nowadays I try to ensure I’m living consciously, with character, creativity and challenge.
May USA Tour
After wrapping up the final semester at Harvard, next on the agenda was to travel around the USA & Canada. I visited Dallas, Houston, Toronto, New York, New Jersey, Washington and Baltimore. At Google (New York) we had a great workshop on Journalling, and at Amazon (Dallas) we addressed Balance & Burnout from a spiritual perspective. It is always wonderful being in New York, where the movement began in 1966. At Brooklyn, we had a session entitled Gita2050, questioning what wisdom the ancient text offers in addressing the fast evolving matrix of the AI world. Amazing to be back on the road again—sharing and learning!

Gita & Bible — What do they say?
While on the Harvard University campus, I had a very insightful conversation with a doctoral student in Comparative Theology. We discussed the similarities and tensions between our respective traditions and explored a big question of our time: can AI ever truly become conscious? It was a fascinating exchange of philosophy, spirituality, and technology—check out the discussion below and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Book Release: “Entering Eternity”
We just published a new book on my journey through Vrindavana. It was one of the most enjoyable books to write, so much so that I didn’t want to finish it! I hope it will inspire you to visit the playground of God, and perhaps enter that mystical place for the rest of eternity!

Reflect!
Grab a journal and answer the following question:
Think of a time when you went through a painful challenge or difficulty. Reflect on how your life has evolved since that time, and identify three positive things that came from it.

Life Hack: Making Powerful Decisions
I often struggle to make effective decisions in life and end up regretting those I make, how can I prevent that?
Firstly, try to ensure that your decisions reflect your dreams and not your fears. We often make decisions based on what we fear could go wrong. That may save us from some problem, but it definitely won’t transport us to our full potential. Average decisions are primarily founded upon fears, amazing decisions are based on dreams, where we acknowledge fears without being restricted and choked by them.
Secondly, don’t just make decisions which will please people in the here and now, but make decisions which will genuinely serve and enrich them. We look for acceptance, acknowledgement and appreciation, but the bigger thing is to deeply think how we can do the best for them in the bigger picture. Sometimes we may have to take bold decisions (which often meet with opposition) that will serve others in the long term.
Thirdly, there is a temptation to make decisions based on impulse and intuition, but the best decisions also incorporate inspiration and guidance. We have to follow our heart’s calling, but hearing from others can often help us better identify that inner calling. Just like Arjuna, who turned to Krishna for guidance, we have the opportunity to get feedback on our intentions from spiritual books and spiritual friends.

“First-class religion teaches one how to love God without any motive. If I serve God for some profit, that is business-not love.”
