I take critics as a blessing. It helps me to desinflate my material ego and wonder about posible misconception. But much more detrimental are praises, that the dhira try his best not to head for they can cause his misfortune.

Awwww Thankyou for sharing and for all the amazing work you do.🙏

Unfortunately, many come from a place of pain and it is normal for them to criticise, than to uplift others.

Some souls are brave enough to go public and shine their light, some work quietly in the background making a difference.

Both paths bring challenges and obstacles. One just needs to keep believing, that there is something inside them that is greater than any obstacle they will ever face.

Always remembering that they are unique and enough just as they are. Hare Krishna. 🙏❤️🙏

Hare Krishna. This was a very timely reflection. I appreciated the reminder that sincere offering requires courage, and that criticism can be used to deepen humility rather than stop the work. Thank you for sharing this so thoughtfully.

Thank you ...these are the most kind words we needed to hear about creatives. Thank you for creating this, it needs to be framed and put in every household, the words of a saint beautifully voiced and written. Thank you for this empowerment, the creative of a real creative is to give creativity to others, thank you for inspiring us through every word, these words we love reading so please keep writing for us all creatives, the critics will always critic, creatives have a greater responsibility even after the critic they have to create, that is honourable and humbly powerful. Thankyou for beautifully painting this picture of creatives. THIS IS GENIUS. We will work on humbly improving ourselves as creatives, just so that we can inspire critics to become creatives one day. Soo nice to read and re-read this article. so so so nice. Absolutely wonderful. Jaya Prabhupada!

There’s a saying,

stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution

Thank you Maharaja for the encouragement. I feel like for a long time I lived in the theoretical realm too afraid to try things because of the fear of failure. After having stumbled quite a bit, post “self-critical perfectionist years”, failure more easily stirred compassion and hopefully a semblance of humility in the heart. Onwards and upwards! Haribol! 🙏🏻🥳😀

Thank you for sharing your brilliant writing with us. 🙏🏻 In this age of deterioration, my second mantra is that „ They will be further tormented by quarrels, hunger, thirst, disease and severe anxiety.“ - SB12.2.10. Forgive them, little Baby Krishna, for they know not what they do. Let us pray for those „cold and timid souls“. Thank you for being a beacon of light 💛

How illuminating the idea of the universal balancing for the praise received. If we saw things in this way, we would suffer much less.

Over the years, I've noticed that lost of appetite, and find uncomfortable criticism towards others, specially when is not constructive, or it is done behind their back. At the same time, I catch myself mentally judging those who do so, or others... which makes me remember Jesus words: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

Often I recall your own words about lowering our expectations, as I recognise this as one of the main sources of my judgement: expecting people to change radically. I also recognise pride, or the sense I may somehow be above them.

How can we be free of pride, kind to other's shortcomings and at the same time give constructive feedback without making others feel bad about themselves? Those "others" tend to be the ones closer to us (relatives, work colleagues, et ...)

It comes to my mind the story of King Akbar's minister in response to the king's question on how to make a stick on the ground shorter without touching it. In response, Minister Bisbal placed a larger stick on the ground!

Perhaps, by constantly recognizing God as the Greater, we will eventually feel humbler, and give feedback bringing greatness instead of degradation.

Definitively the people who count more are those giving themselves in a worthy cause not concerned about the criticism received, nor interested in being critical, but striving for the benefit of others.

Thanks for the inspiration, for showing us the way forward and upwards, and for giving us the opportunity to be in that beautiful arena, despite our shortcomings and long way to be the best version of ourselves.
